Acceptable Use Policy

1.0.0 · 2026-05-18

Version 1.0.0. Effective 18 May 2026. Scope: this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) applies to every Employer, Worker, admin, visitor, and integration that uses Sizoro on web or mobile. Read it together with the Terms of Service, Worker Terms, Cancellation and Refund Policy, Dispute Policy, Payment Policy, Payout Policy, Support Policy, and Privacy Policy. Breach of this AUP may result in content removal, booking cancellation, withholding of payouts pending dispute review, account suspension, account termination, and referral to the authorities. 1. Respect, dignity, and anti-discrimination You must treat every other user, household member, and Sizoro staff member with dignity. You may not harass, threaten, stalk, defame, sexually harass, exploit, abuse, or intimidate anyone using Sizoro. Discrimination, exclusion, or differential treatment on a ground listed in section 9 of the Constitution and the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act 4 of 2000 — race, gender, sex, pregnancy, marital status, ethnic or social origin, colour, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, conscience, belief, culture, language, birth, HIV status, citizenship, or any analogous ground — is prohibited. Workers may decline a booking for any reason permitted by law (for example, scope, safety, conflicting availability), but may not decline on a prohibited ground. 2. Honest profiles, listings, and reviews You must use your real legal name, accurate contact details, accurate service descriptions, and accurate rates. You may not (a) impersonate another person; (b) create or operate duplicate or shell accounts; (c) buy, sell, transfer, share, or rent accounts; (d) post fake or solicited reviews, manipulate ratings, or retaliate against honest reviews; (e) hide material facts about a booking, such as the presence of a third party, animals on site, or hazardous conditions; or (f) submit forged identity documents or tampered KYC artefacts. Identity verification is performed via our identity verification partner; results may be re-verified at any time. 3. No off-platform circumvention For any relationship introduced through Sizoro you may not solicit, arrange, accept, or facilitate bookings, payments, tips, refunds, or payouts outside Sizoro where the purpose or effect is to avoid Sizoro's commission, dispute protection, identity verification, payment custody, ratings, or safety features. This includes asking for cash on the day, exchanging private contact details to move the booking off-platform, applying discounts conditional on direct payment, and listing the same service on a competing app to swap the customer over. Pre-existing relationships that did not originate through Sizoro are not restricted. 4. Truthful communication and no fraud You may not use Sizoro to commit, attempt to commit, or facilitate fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, payment-card fraud, false-refund schemes, false-dispute schemes, or any conduct prohibited by the Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001 (FICA), the Prevention of Organised Crime Act 121 of 1998, or other applicable law. Refund and dispute requests must be honest and supported by real evidence. Chargebacks made in bad faith — that is, after the service was provided as agreed — are a breach of this AUP and may lead to permanent account closure and recovery of funds. 5. Lawful activity only You may only use Sizoro for lawful services and lawful conduct. You may not use Sizoro to offer, request, advertise, or facilitate (a) sexual services or any conduct prohibited under the Sexual Offences Act and related legislation; (b) services to minors that lawfully require parental supervision without that supervision in place; (c) handling of unlawful drugs, weapons, stolen goods, or counterfeit items; (d) services that breach Department of Labour conditions for unaccompanied minors or unlawful informal work; or (e) any conduct that violates South African law, including the Films and Publications Act for unlawful content. 6. Safety on site Employers must provide a reasonably safe site for the booked service: working electricity and water for the booked scope, no unrestrained dangerous animals, no concealed hazards, and lawful instructions to the Worker. Workers must perform the booked scope with reasonable care under section 54(1) of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, must not be intoxicated on site, may not bring unapproved third parties to a booking, and may not record any household member without lawful basis. Either side may pause or end a booking that becomes genuinely unsafe; report the safety issue through Sizoro Support so we can record it and apply the Dispute Policy. 7. Privacy of others You may not collect, store, share, post, or publish another user's personal information beyond what Sizoro itself shares with you to complete the booking. You may not take or share photos or videos of another user or their household members without a lawful basis under POPIA. You may not use information learned through Sizoro for targeted marketing, doxxing, or harassment. 8. No technical abuse You may not scrape, crawl, harvest, mass-download, automate, reverse engineer, decompile, probe, fuzz, denial-of-service, overload, or interfere with Sizoro's systems except through documented, approved public interfaces. You may not upload malware, ransomware, phishing payloads, or any code intended to compromise users or systems. You may not bypass authentication, access another user's data, or attempt to access admin functionality you have not been granted. Security research must follow our responsible-disclosure route (support@sizoro.com). 9. Commercial messaging and spam You may not use Sizoro's messaging, ratings, profiles, or booking notes to send unsolicited commercial messages, multi-level marketing pitches, political campaigning, religious recruitment, or any content unrelated to the booking. You may not use Sizoro contact details outside the booking context unless the other party has clearly invited that contact. 10. Content standards Content uploaded to Sizoro — including photos, profile descriptions, booking notes, ratings, dispute submissions, and support messages — must be (a) truthful; (b) free of hate speech as defined in the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act and the Films and Publications Act; (c) free of unlawful sexual content or content harmful to minors; (d) free of material that infringes another person's intellectual property; and (e) appropriate for a general audience. 11. Reporting violations If you see conduct that breaches this AUP, report it through the in-app report or dispute action, or email support@sizoro.com with the booking ID, the user concerned, and the evidence you have. We will not retaliate against good-faith reports. False or vexatious reports made to harm another user are themselves a breach of this AUP. 12. Enforcement and proportionate response Sizoro follows a proportionate-response approach. For non-safety-critical first-time issues we normally issue a warning and ask the user to fix the conduct. For repeat or material breaches we may (in any order needed to protect users): remove content; cancel one or more bookings under the Cancellation and Refund Policy; restrict specific features; place a hold on a payout pending dispute review; suspend the account; or terminate the account. For safety-critical, fraud, or illegal conduct we may suspend immediately without prior warning and may preserve and disclose evidence to the South African Police Service or another competent authority. 13. Appeals If an enforcement decision affects you, you may reply to the support thread with new evidence and request a review under the Dispute Policy. We aim to acknowledge an appeal within five (5) South African business days. We may decline appeals that repeat the same facts without new evidence. 14. Changes to this AUP We may update this AUP. Material changes are notified through the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Sizoro after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP. 15. Contact Support and reports: support@sizoro.com. Privacy: support@sizoro.com. Security disclosures: support@sizoro.com.
